Alloy chain slings are designed for overhead lifting and offer unmatched durability. They provide excellent performance in harsh environments.

Grade 80 Chain is manufactured from heat treated alloy steel, and is ideal for heavy duty lifting applications.

It meets standard EN 818-4, Short-Link Chain for Lifting Purposes and is high strength, rugged, versatile and low-weight.

EN 818-4 Grade 80 Chain Lifting Slings
Introduction

We provide 1 leg slings and 2 leg slings and 3 leg slings and 4 leg slings. Each chain sling has a different WLL (Weight Load Limit). Please ensure you have selected the correct chain sling for the load that you need to lift. All of our lifting slings are tested and certified before dispatch, but your chain sling may fail if used to lift too heavy a load.

All of our chain slings are tested with 2.5 times the WLL before leaving the factory. If you are not sure what weight chain sling to use for your application, please contact our sales staff. They will provide you with free advice.

  • Work Load Limit (WLL) is the maximum load which the chains are designed to sustain in lifting use. The mean stress at this load is 200N/MM² (MPA) and is based on a 4:1 factor of safety.
  • Manufacturing Proof Force (MPF) is the force to which during manufacture the chain is subjected to. The mean stress at this load is 500N/MM² (MPA) which is 2.5 times the working load limit.
  • Minimum Breaking Load (MBL) is the minimum force of which the chain must withstand before failure. The mean stress at this load is 800N/MM² (MPA). The minimum elongation before failure is 20%.
Standards

!This product can be used for Overhead Lfting. It is strictly prohibited to use it in excess of the working load (WLL).

!Any surface coating will affect the mechanical properties of the chain. Please ask staff for details.

We follow standards:

EN818-1

EN818-2

EN818-4

Optional surface treatment: natural black, powder coating, black electrophoresis, electro-galvanizing, hot-dip galvanizing, Dacromet.

Chain lifted loads should never be transported or suspended over people.

Chain should be inspected every six months for cracks, gouges, wear, elongation, nicks, and suitability.

Chain performance can be effected by excessive temperatures or exposure to chemically active environments such as acids, corrosive liquids or fumes.

When mixing chain and components such as hooks and links, all should be rated at the work load limit of the lowest rated component or chain.

Ambient temperature during use:

Min.: -40 ℃

Max.: 200 ℃

If the application scenario exceeds or is lower than the recommended operating temperature, please consult the staff to see if it is feasible.

Q & A
What is the breaking strength of a Grade 80 chain?
It depends on the diameter of the chain you choose. The larger the diameter, the greater the breaking strength. The nominal breaking strength of Grade 80 chain is 800N/MM².
Can you use Grade 80 chain for transport?
Yes, Grade 80 chain is a low carbon alloy steel chain with high strength, suitable for heavy traction or construction machinery lashing or rigging.
Can you customize chain slings? What configurations can I choose?
Yes, all chain slings are custom made, you can choose any length and any number of legs.
I can't understand your datasheets, how do I know which configurations I need?
First, you need to confirm the following parameters. Application scenario? Safe working load? How many legs? Hook or ring? You can contact our staff at any time, they will give you professional advice free of charge.
How can I be sure your chain slings are safe?
Each chain sling we produce has a unique code. We can trace it back to the raw materials based on this code. We ensure that each chain sling is verified to 2.5 times the safe working load before leaving the factory. We ensure that each batch of chain slings is tested to 4 times the safe working load (breaking load test) before leaving the factory.
Our chains are mostly exported to more than 30 countries
both in European and Asian markets.
